Company of Shadows First Blog. Here it is.
This is the first step into getting our website up and running. We’re looking forward to start this adventure. Company of Shadows is an ultra-low budget, gay-themed film. What we don’t have in beaucoup bucks, we make up for in passion. Keep an eye on this blog for more information.
Preproduction
We’re currently in pre-production. Since we are still in the middle of the pandemic, it means we do table-reads / rehearsals entirely online via video chat meetings. This actually works out really well since we don’t have to rent a space, nor do we have to use any transportation. These virtual meetings have been a lot of fun. The actors are making great progress in finding the hearts and souls of these characters. Even in these rehearsals the performances have been breathtakingly great!
Production
Production will start in April. During postproduction, we will run a crowdfunding campaign. Running such a campaign after principle photography is deliberate as it allows us to guarantee backers they will get their perks! If you want to be notified about the crowdfunding campaign, you can sign up with us here.
Plot
Randy, an openly gay, successful angel investor meets with James, a potential client. Randy suspects James is someone who severely wronged him in the past. When he decides to confront James with his suspicion, James denies. Things get complicated when a severe earthquake traps them in the remote cabin where their meeting takes place.
Company of Shadows stars Jeremy Urann, Karl Chaffey, Raquel Vilarino, and Bryan Maurice. It’s written and directed by Dirk. Our main website url is of course: https://companyofshadows.com
